Roby, female robot model XK-3 was the latest in self
defense and riot control. The perfect android product
to ensure peace on
Roby was bioengineered to physical
perfection. DNA selected for superior strength, endurance
and intelligence. Although considered a robot, she is mostly
flesh and bone, except its not really bone or flesh. The
bone is a new synthetic mixture of plastic and micro
carbons. It's tougher, longer lasting and doesn't need
constant chemical nutrients like bone. Roby has the
equivalent strength of a dozen humans on steroids. The
superb strength and endurance is necessary as no weapons
were imported from Earth. Roby's job was to keep the
peace with whatever force it took. However Roby had never
used deadly force against a human. She had always been
able to persuade everyone to settle their differences
without the use of extreme force. Roby was highly
trained in marshal arts, demolitions, jungle survival and
tracking. That was one thing Roby couldn't understand, why
they sent a jungle survival expert to this remote desert.
Roby is the only woman on Maldor Prime. She is
fully functional sexually, however she has never allowed
herself to get that friendly with anyone. She doesn't want
anything to interferer with her ability to maintain the
peace and a personal relationship could make her venerable.
Roby had been on Maldor Prime for 2 years
now without any major incidents.
Roby has a secret that she has been keeping from
everyone for the last two years. Before leaving Earth Roby
had a sexual encounter with one of the scientists.
Roby was shocked to discover that she was pregnant after
arriving on Sierra. Scientists had never been able to
fertilize an android back on earth, however there had been
many attempt at artifical insemination. Scientists and
doctors agreed there was no scientific or medical reason why
an android could not get pregnany and deliver an offspring,
but their attemps were never successful and everyone
accepted the fact it must not be possible. Roby was
concerned about someone on Sierra finding out about her
condition as no one that had made the trip to Sierra had
planned on the possibliity of children on such a remote
barren world.
